Collagen is human protein made by fibroblast cells in the dermis layer of the skin. It is responsible for the optical tightness, elasticity, and suppleness of the skin. Research indicates that during the ageing process the skin loses its ability to produce collagen. As a result, lines and fine wrinkles appear on the face, especially around the eyes.
