My Dr. Muller Blue Skin Light

Blue Skin Light

How does Blue Skin Light work?

The human skin stashes an oily matter called sebum, to lubricate your skin and hair. An excessive amount of sebum on your skin can clog your pores. The bacteria in these clogged pores accumulates, which leads to infections, redness and swelling of the skin.

The reason for increased production of sebum has to do with an imbalance in hormones.  This imbalance triggers the creation of acne. Acne can, therefore, occur during puberty, pregnancy, menopause,   or when taking medication.

The My Dr. Müller Blue Skin Light lamps emit blue light at a wavelength of 415 nanometers. Blue light at this wavelength helps the skin to reduce its production of sebum and kills bacteria-causing infections. The result is a smoother skin, a more beautiful appearance and a higher self-esteem.
